 A combination of urine and socks could one day be used to power mobile phones and other portable and wearable devices, scientists believe.
 
A pair of socks fuelled with urine pumped by the wearer’s footsteps has powered a wireless transmitter to send a signal to a computer.
 
Experts said it “opens up possibilities” for using urine to power wearable devices .
