History of Big Pharma and the Major Players

#11
That documentary does mention how big pharma denigrates natural remedies!

Big Pharma and the mainstream media connive to undermine the benefits of multivitamins in the name of pharma interests

What the media doesnt report, of course, is that if pharmaceuticals were subjected to the same basic questions covered in the aforementioned study do multivitamins enhance cognitive function? Do they prevent heart disease? the results would prove to be disastrous. They not only dont work they also could kill you in the process.

Now, why isn't the mainstream media reporting anything about this?

Unfortunately, a long-standing double standard exists in the medical industry. Scrutiny is reserved solely for nutritional supplements, while quack medicine, junk science and pro-pharma propaganda, despite lacking proof of their effectiveness, remain untouched. There is no scientific evidence whatsoever, for instance, that chemotherapy prevents the progression of cancer or that statins enhance lifespan. There is no evidence whatsoever that ADHD drugs create healthy children or that antidepressants cure depression. Yet, all these drugs continue to be heavily pushed onto the unwitting masses by certain medical journals and the mainstream media.

Quote:Draining the Pharma Swamp: Donald Trump to Hammer Big Pharmas Monopoly Profits

President-elect Donald Trump announced a plan to shatter the monopolistic pricing of Big Pharma that has been draining literally trillions of dollars from the government for the past two decades.

“Pharma has a lot of lobbyists and a lot of power, said Trump. “There's very little bidding on drugs. We'„¢re the largest drug buyer in the world, and we're going to start bidding. We're going to start saving billions of dollars on drugs.

He can't bring down prescription drug costs alone

Trump took a shot at pharmaceutical companies "getting away with murder." Here's what that could signal ahead

Pharma, pharma has a lot of lobbies and a lot of lobbyists and a lot of power and there's very little bidding on drugs, Trump said. “We're the largest buyer of drugs in the world and yet we don't bid properly and we're going to start bidding and we're going to save billions of dollars.

“Drug companies have a greater ability to set the prices they want to charge in America than they do in other countries Juliette Cubanski, associate director of Medicare policy at the Kaiser Family Foundation, told Salon. Our negotiating process happens at many different levels and many different payers, and even in this country we're paying vastly different prices depending on what insurance you have.

“The root of this problem is that we are the only major country not to negotiate drug prices with the pharmaceutical industry, Sanders said in a statement.

Sanders has pledged to hold Trump accountable for his campaign promises to not cut safety net programs, to create jobs and lower prescription drug prices. He has highlighted Trump's statement earlier this month that pharmaceutical industry is "getting away with murder" for what they charge the federal government for drugs.

But in his Tuesday meeting, Trump indicated he sees a different cause for high drug prices: taxes and regulations.

Trump seemed to satisfy drugmakers by saying he would support lower taxes and streamlined regulations, though he told them they need to create U.S. jobs.

“You have to get your companies back here, Trump said.

ADHD is a prime example of a fictitious disease. These were the words of Leon Eisenberg, the “scientific father of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), in his last interview he gave before his death at age 87 in 2009.

(While some have described Dr. Eisenberg's statement as an“exaggeration, many doctors are coming to the belated conclusion that ADHD is often “over diagnosed by the use of “fuzzy diagnostic practices. Harvard psychologist Jerome Kagan, who is one of the world's leading experts in child development, states:

Let's go back 50 years. We have a 7-year-old child who is bored in school and disrupts classes. Back then, he was called lazy. Today, he is said to suffer from ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). . . . Every child who’s not doing well in school is sent to see a pediatrician, and the pediatrician says: ADHD; here's Ritalin. In fact, 90 percent of these 5.4 million kids don't have an abnormal dopamine metabolism. The problem is, if a drug is available to doctors, they'll make the corresponding diagnosis.)

Eisenberg made a luxurious living off of his fictitious disease, thanks to pharmaceutical sales. Coincidentally, he received the “Ruane Prize for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Research. He has been a leader in child psychiatry for more than 40 years through his work in pharmacological trials, research, teaching, and social policy and for his theories of autism and social medicine, according to Psychiatric News.

First-Ever Peer-Reviewed Study of Vaccinated vs Unvaccinated Children Shows Vaccinated Kids Have a Higher Rate of Sickness, 470% Increase in Autism

The first-ever, peer-review study has been published comparing total-health in vaccinated and unvaccinated children. Dr. Anthony Mawson led a research team that investigated the relationship between vaccination exposures and acute or chronic illnesses in home-schooled children. The vaccinated children had a much higher rate of autism and ADHD, at a rate of 470% higher than those who received no shots.  Vaccinated children were also more vulnerable to allergies and eczema. Unvaccinated children contract mild childhood diseases more frequently, but their vaccinated counterparts suffer pneumonia and ear infections more frequently. The finding that vaccination introduces a significant risk for autism is devastating to the vaccine industry and, therefore, will be vigorously attacked.

https://needtoknow.news/2017/05/first-ev...se-autism/

These findings in a study population of 666 children, 261 of whom (39%) were unvaccinated, are sure to stir controversy, in part because it is the first of its kind. The scientific literature on the long-term effects of the vaccination program is virtually silent. Most studies on the safety of vaccines only consider immediate or short-term effects. There was no obvious explanation for the differences in health outcomes observed between the vaccinated and unvaccinated groups of children other than vaccination itself.

The finding that vaccination is a significant risk for autism is the most explosive finding in the paper. For well over a decade, parents concerned that vaccines were involved in autisms sharp rise have been calling for what has long been labelled the vax/unvax study. Public health officials such as Paul Offit have resisted these calls with claims that a comparative study of autism risk and other health outcomes in unvaccinated and vaccinated children would be retrospectively impossible and prospectively unethical.
