Truman   “Don’t Be a Puppet” is the message the FBI is sending old Americans.   As part of the government’s so-called ongoing war on terror, the nation’s de facto secret police force is now recruiting students and teachers to spy on each other and report anyone who appears to have the potential to be “anti-government” or “extremist.”   Using the terms “anti-government,” “extremist” and “terrorist” interchangeably, the government continues to add to its growing list of characteristics that could distinguish an individual as a potential domestic terrorist.   For instance, you might be a domestic terrorist in the eyes of the FBI (and its network of snitches) if you:       express libertarian philosophies (statements, bumper stickers)     exhibit Second Amendment-oriented views (NRA or gun club membership)     read survivalist literature, including apocalyptic fictional books     show signs of self-sufficiency (stockpiling food, ammo, hand tools, medical supplies)     fear an economic collapse     buy gold and barter items     subscribe to religious views concerning the book of Revelation     voice fears about Big Brother or big government     expound about constitutional rights and civil liberties     believe in a New World Order conspiracy   Despite its well-publicized efforts to train students, teachers, police officers, hairdressers, store clerks, etc., into government eyes and ears, the FBI isn’t relying on a nation of snitches to carry out its domestic spying.   There’s no need.   http://gilmermirror.com/view/full_story/27124051/article-America-s-Gestapo If you see or hear something.... - Guest - 10-28-2022   The Truman Papers   Documents in the Truman Library show that nine days after Kennedy was assassinated, Truman sketched out in handwritten notes what he wanted to say in the op-ed. He noted, among other things, that the CIA had worked as he intended only “when I had control.”   Five days after the op-ed appeared, retired Admiral Sidney Souers, whom Truman had appointed to lead his first central intelligence group, sent a “Dear Boss” letter applauding Truman’s outspokenness and blaming Dulles for making the CIA “a different animal than the one I tried to set up for you.”   Souers specifically lambasted the attempt “to conduct a ‘war’ invading Cuba with a handful of men and without air cover.” He also lamented the fact that the agency’s “principal effort” had evolved into causing “revolutions in smaller countries around the globe,” and added: “With so much emphasis on operations, it would not surprise me to find that the matter of collecting and processing intelligence has suffered some.” (Again, as true today as it was 50 years ago.)   Clearly, the operational tail of the CIA was wagging its substantive dog — a serious problem that persists to this day.   https://www.popularresistance.org/president-truman-was-right-in-1963-need-to-limit-cia/ If you see or hear something.... - Guest - 11-10-2022 I see how the banks and corporations fuck the world.
