New U.S. Navy aircraft carrier sets sail with no urinals - Guest - 07-26-2023 The U.S. Navy has decided on a new form of berth control.  The USS Gerald R. Ford ââ¬â the newest U.S. Navy aircraft carrier, and the first in its class of ships ââ¬â is ditching urinals, introducing ââ¬Ågender neutralââ¬Â bathrooms.  ââ¬ÅThis is designed to give the ship flexibility because there arenââ¬â¢t any berthing areas that are dedicated to one sex or the other,ââ¬Â Operations Specialist 1st Class Kaylea Motsenbocker told Navy Times recently.  Bathroom experts told the Navy Times that urinals cost less, take up less space, and are more sanitary (fewer men miss their target with a urinal).  http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/u-s-navy-aircraft-carrier-sets-sail-no-urinals-article-1.3352063  New U.S. Navy aircraft carrier sets sail with no urinals - Guest - 07-26-2023 Look for the new top of line flushing ability for the entire system.   Kawooosh!   It'll even flush bananas...   :Banana_Dance: New U.S. Navy aircraft carrier sets sail with no urinals - Guest - 07-26-2023 Quote:Look for the new top of line flushing ability for the entire system.  Older systems were causing problems for obvious reasons.  (---older story---)  The Navy Times reports that toilets have been malfunctioning since the ship's initial deployment. The toilet's vacuum systemââ¬âwhich consists of 250 miles of tubingââ¬âhas completely failed on several occasions leaving sailors to "anchors away" off catwalks and into bottles.  The Navy blames the sailors for clogging the system on the $6.2billion boat with feminine hygiene products and clothing.  http://gizmodo.com/5859717/toilet-trouble-on-navy-carrier-leaves-5000-sailors-doing-the-pee-pee-dance  |
