Complete Richard Nixon Interview By David Frost - RottenApples - 05-31-2022

Hard hitting interview with President Richard Nixon concerning the Watergate Scandals. Made in a time when interviews were, in a sense, unscripted. David Frost really did his homework on this one. These interviews are great because Nixon was asked questions he didn't know were coming. Which makes for great reporting.

Nixon comes off really well. He shows in human side in a way that brings a certain truth to what he's trying to tell the American Public. He made mistakes. He admitted them. Admitted to failing the American spirit in a way that we used to have but seems to be fading away from our public consciousness. The true meaning of our continued existence as country of freedom and innovation.

This is the complete series of interviews done in 1977

Blackmail, intrigue, all the presidents men. I'm wondering what the 'other source' may be regarding payments made to Hunt.

Nixon could have been impeached for violating canons of the elite. Watergate seems to be just a show for the general public to consume. Maybe Nixon was trying to cut off the strings attached by the puppet masters on high...a matter of coulance, perhaps? He yielded before the chance to convict became possible.

Power and ego. A trip into the realms of international law?

Could Richard Nixon have been tried successfully for a crime?

What are you saying with that?

That Watergate is small potatoes compared to what really goes on behind the stage production we all argue about with distracted ease. If proceedings to impeach did become a reality, would there have been other more extreme issues brought up to contemplate on?

I see. Like opening a rotten can of worms. Giving in to resignation to protect those who helped subsidize him. Or, maybe he held true to his conscience to protect the dignity of the office. Of course, protecting himself is a paramount consideration. But, the stakes are much higher than just a single man. Profits and oligarchy seem to prevail. That channel is not available for public review. Or is it?
