Is advertising magick?

I have found very little writing on the subject. What comes to mind is Alan Moore mentioning advertisers as the ones using shamanism and magic to shape our society today and Grant Morrison talking about corporate sigils in his text "Pop Magic!".

Is there something to learn from this comparison or is the conceiving of advertising as a type of magick meaningless?

A decent explanation of ad training and subliminal message deception. It's all supposed to affect your emotional behavior. Not only selling the product but affecting the state of mind and well being of the inner spirit. Without doubt these teqniques are practiced by total professionals of the art. Gain?

 

For myself it would be a greater understanding of what has been built upon this earth to influence my thinking.

 

To know whether it is good for me in the long run.

 

To make better decisions on what I believe.

 

It wouldn't be any good if I didn't share it with others so they can decide for themselves what is good for them...

 

What I learn I like to share.

 

Not keep hidden to fool others into buying bullshit.
