As the world turns networked, the Pentagon is calculating the military opportunities that computer networks, wireless technologies and the modern media offer. 

Pentagon network of internet penetration has come a long way since that 2006 article.  Since then, they have blasted rocket after rocket into orbit to upgrade the new and improved satellite systems.  Farther and deeper out creating another web of networks fully integrated with the older existing ones.  Dividing the nets of webwork into a quadro helix type of engineering in their new modelling approach.
